For those of you who may not know my parents, Brian and Suzy, started Treasure Goldens over twenty years ago.
Both Mom and Dad grew up with an assortment of childhood pets but it wasn’t until they got married that the first dog they owned together was a Golden Retriever they affectionately named Trevor.
Trevor sold them on Golden Retrievers as they got to first hand experience his loyalty, affection, and gentleness.
He was my Mom’s perfect companion while my Dad worked third shift. And two years later he made the most amazing playmate for me!
The next ten years we moved around and we weren’t able to have family pets. But when my parents settled back in Ohio and were looking not only to add a companion to the family but also provide a way for us kids to learn both respect and responsibility there really was no question about it…we needed to find a Golden Retriever!
So initially my parents brought two Golden Retriever puppies into our thrilled family and thus Treasure Goldens was born.
Over the last twenty plus years our whole family has learned and grown so much in this journey. But one thing has remained constant; our admiration and love for this incredible breed, the Golden Retriever!
